Isolation and Disturbance is a series of paintings that represent various places. Melnikova painted places from three regions: Dubai, Istanbul, and Russia. All of the paintings establish a great technique of usage of oil paints and handling it. Colors are vibrant and create a mix of surrealism and realism on a canvas. During the project, Kira decided to create a texture with the help of a palette knife. Referring to influences, her subject matter was abandonment and loneliness with the addition of some dynamic lines and perspectives.
